Warner Commercial is thrilled to announce that loulou, a family-owned retail concept that specializes in ladies accessories, gifts and fashion, will be joining the vibrant business community in Historic Downtown Frederick, Maryland later this fall!

"We have developed the loulou brand since 2004,” says Ben Wegdam, co-owner of West Federal Retail (WFR), parent company of loulou, Crème de la Crème, Brick and Mortar and Zest. "Unlike big box retail, we aim to provide personal and entertaining experiences in the stores," explains Wegdam, who already established Brick and Mortar and a Crème de la Crème in downtown Frederick a number of years ago.

Owners Tara and Ben Wegdam have been lifelong boutique brick and mortar retailers. Their company is based in Middleburg Virginia, an hour south of Frederick.

“Concepts like Crème de la Crème, loulou and Brick and Mortar have been able to grow by focusing on entertainment, a clear format for the customer and local orientation. We believe in downtown areas such as Frederick as creativity and local entrepreneurs continue to attract tourism and day visitors," shares Wegdam.

The store will be located at 29 North Market Street, where the former Hunting Creek Outfitters ran a successful endeavor for 21 years as a full-line Orvis dealer, dedicated to the sporting life and distinctive country living.

Loulou also operates locations in Annapolis and Columbia MD, in addition to boutiques in Virginia, and the Carolinas.
